Aroma Greenline press conference
Today, at the University Botanical Garden, cosmetic company "Aroma" officially announced the adoption of 52 acres of old Bulgarian natural forest for a period of 25 years.
The beginning of the project was launched three years ago with the creation of the natural cosmetics series Greenline and the Green Bulgaria Fund, which raises funds for the conservation of natural Bulgarian forests.
Fundraising is implemented by giving 5% of the cost of each product purchased from Greenline series to the preservation of forests. After three years of accumulation, the results today are evident, and Aroma is the first adopter and owner of an old Bulgarian natural forest.
Host of the conference was the famous writer Vanya Shtereva, who has manifested her nature-friendly behavior, while among the participants were Mr. Dimitar Lukanov, Executive Director of "Aroma", Ms. Iva Ikonomova, Marketing Director of the company and Ms. Veselina Kavrakova, Programme Manager at WWF Bulgaria, which is an Aroma partner in the implementation of initiatives related to the Green Bulgaria fund.
Minutes after the press conference, the guests, led by Vanya Shtereva, were invited to follow the "Aroma Green Line". Each of them had the opportunity to write his or her personal promise to the nature on a special leaf, which was then hung on the "Tree of Promises" at the end of the grassy path and to take pictures at the special wall decorated with natural moss.
Adoption of the Bulgarian natural forest by Aroma is the first event of its kind in the country and it is part of the socially responsible company’s policy and the Green Bulgaria fund.
