How to comb your hair properly?
The correct combing of the hair is essential for its beautiful and healthy look. Conversely, wrong methods lead to breakage and damage of the hair, which in turn affects its vitality. Here's what you should know.
It is recommended to comb your hair twice daily - morning and evening, for about one minute, so it can stay shiny and healthy, and without tangled ends. Combing stimulates the microcirculation of the scalp and helps it relax, cleans dirt accumulated from the environment during the day, and adds volume to the hair.
Keep in mind that excessive combing, on the other side, causes unnecessary aggression and strain to the hair and stimulates the sebaceous glands.
• If you have short or fine hair, use thinner paddle brush.
• If you have long, medium or thick hair, use a wide paddle brush.
At first, comb the ends of your hair. Then move upwards, gradually detangling the nodes until you can pass the comb freely along the entire length of your hair.
Never comb your hair while it is wet. Wait until it dries completely before combing it with the tool you normally use. If you don’t have time, use a hairdryer and accelerate the drying process by swiping your fingers over your hair.
Bend your head down and start brushing your hair from the neck to the forehead. Comb both sides before moving to the crown. Decrease the pressure when you get to the roots to avoid stimulating the sebaceous glands, which will make your hair become greasy faster. Finally raise your head and comb your hair carefully from the forehead backwards. That’s how it is recommended to comb your hair every time, not only after washing it.
