How to roll up your hair on hair rollers?
Using hair rollers may seem like an old-fashioned way to style your hair, but it is among the most effective ones. Besides causing minimal damage, curlers add natural charm to everyone’s hair. Probably, we will surprise you with the fact that the method has a "hang". Here's how to get the most amazing “waterfall” of curls at home and look like you’ve just stepped out of a professional salon.
The main and most important requirement is to roll up the curlers on freshly washed hair. This will remove excess fat and dirt that ‘’choke” and weigh down your hair, and thus spoil the effect of curling.
It is recommended to let your hair dry naturally. If you don’t have time, use a hair dryer, but first apply a heat protection product on your hair. It will be good if the product gives volume, makes hair easier to curl and fixes the ringlets, in addition to its main purpose.
Apply a hair mousse when your hair is almost dry and carefully combed. It is best to bend down your head and rub the formula in the hair. Do not rub the product in your hair’s roots, because this could make them oily.
Experts advise to divide your hair into three sections if you use heated or traditional round rollers. Start from the middle one, rolling the curlers horizontally on the head - first on the forehead and then back to the nape. You can roll up the curlers in different directions if you want to give your ringlets the most natural look.
Continue rolling at the sides, the same way. Some of the rollers may warp or sag due to the more uncomfortable position, but this should not bother you.
If you use flexi-rods, you can roll up random locks of hair, as this type of curlers creates ‘’unruly” effect, anyway.
It is good to bear in mind that the thinner the strand is, the faster the result is going to be and the larger the diameter of the rollers is, the greater the curls will be. The most beautiful result is achieved with medium length hair, because short hair becomes too fluffy, and long hair hangs down due to its weight.
Once you put rollers on the entire hair, wait about 30-40 minutes before you remove them. It is important your hair to “breathe” to dry completely, so do not cover it with a shower cap or something else. You can blow it with a hair dryer from time to time, but from a distance, to protect it from burning.
After removing the curlers, time for hair styling arrives. Combing will spoil the curls. You will achieve the best effect if you rub fingers at the hair roots and then ruffle gently along the entire length of your hair. This way, you will keep the volume for hours. At the end, arrange the strands in the desired position and fix them (first with hairpins, if necessary) with a hairspray – lavishly from about a span distance.
