How to slow down the aging of skin?

Time brings inevitable changes. We feel them with every single fibre of our bodies, we see them in the mirror ... Alas, we are powerless to stop the aging process, but once we know its mechanisms, we can cleverly manipulate it.

Degeneration of skin is a complex maze of our own unhealthy habits, errors in DNA replication and a number of external factors, such as solar radiation and pollutants. In order to cope with our bad habits we need only determination, while to counteract the aggressive environment - appropriate cosmetics. Depending on the type of our skin, we choose: a series of cleaning products, with which to remove dust, dead cells and other impurities accumulated on the face; protection products, with which to protect ourselves from UV rays, wind and cold; and, of course, cosmetics that facilitate regeneration of skin tissue and meets its growing needs of hydration.

We are able to significantly delay the first signs of aging, as long as we learn to drink enough water daily. Water possesses memory and "reminds" the cells how to replicate properly.

Besides the irreplaceable fluid, the adequate nourishment also supports the normal skin turgor. The Self usually divides food into two categories - "delicious" and "unpleasant", but for cells similar definitions are completely meaningless. They are not gourmet specialists evaluating the aroma and aesthetics of dishes. And huge portions do not always bring satiation. To maintain the skin youthful, the body needs only one type of food- "living". Natural, unmodified in any way, nuts, seeds, grains, fruits and vegetables are valuable fuel for all processes carried out in the largest human organ, as well as a powerful antidote to free radicals that cause the aging process.

Of course, we should not focus solely on the physical shortage of proper food, as in our capacity as spiritual beings we have another type of needs, as well. Hunger, caused by the lack of positive emotions is capable of speeding up the internal clock of the body, reflecting on our appearance. It seems that time stops when we laugh and feel great happiness, and the truth is that in such moments it actually does slow down. So let us enjoy life more, since that is another piece of the puzzle, called "prolonged youth".

Our body shell needs positive emotions, but at the same time it still needs movement – after all, stillness is not characteristic of living matter. The making of various grimaces moves the muscles of the face and maintains the elasticity of the skin. And light massages contribute to the disposal of waste products and fill tissues with oxygen and nutrients.

We paid enough attention to the activity, so now we must give importance to the rest, too. Sleep is an excellent inhibitor of aging. It fixes a vast portion of the imperfections that could lead to appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation spots. Therefore, it is important to make sure that we spend several hours in complete relaxation every night.

Little by little, we unriddle a huge part of the unknowns in the formula of youth. Knowing better the enemies of our skin, we turn ourselves into their successful opponents.
