How to use mouthwash?
According to some studies, people who use mouthwash twice daily, much more rarely visit a dentist than those who skip this mandatory final step in the dental care. It is important, however, to know how to use it properly.
- It is recommended to use the mouthwash as a final step in cleaning our teeth morning and evening. Thus, we will completely remove the remnants of food on the teeth that we have not managed to clean with brush and floss. We can use it at any other time of the day to freshen our breath. But it is important to remember that the mouthwash does not replace the action of the brush and floss.
- In the dosimeter (usually the cap of the product) we pour the indicated in the instructions, amount. If necessary we dilute with water (for the concentrated formulas).
- After we pour the doze in the mouth, we must gargle between 30 seconds and 1 minute, trying to reach the posterior teeth, as well. Lastly we spit it out.
For maximum effect of the formula, it is advisable to wait at least half an hour before consuming food or drinks, including water.
